October has delivered exactly what we expected—aggressive schooling fish, perfect weather, and happy clients. If you're thinking about booking a trip, do it now!

The stripers and hybrids have been schooling heavily in the main lake areas. We're finding fish from the dam all the way up to the Etowah River arm. The key has been covering water and watching for surface activity.

When the schools come up, it's chaos in the best possible way. Cast into the frenzy with anything that resembles a shad and hold on. We've been using white paddle tails on 1/2 oz jig heads with great success.

Between the surface action, we're filling in the gaps with trolling and downlining. The fish are hungry and willing to bite almost anything presented properly.

Weather has been perfect—cool mornings, warm afternoons, and light winds. This is why we fish in Georgia!
